Thanks to a generous contribution from the Hollins Family Foundation, B.I.G. recently was able to award a $5,000 scholarship in the category of "Promoting Literacy" to a graduating Anne Arundel County high school student for the second straight year. Working through Scholarships for Scholars, we chose an exceptional student, Sandra Oyedele, who has had multiple leadership roles in school and whose scholarship application essays on the importance of literacy, both to her individually and to the community at large, were inspiring. Sandra will be attending the University of MD in fall 2026. The scholarship was awarded at a ceremony held at St. John's College in Annapolis on April 29, 2026.
