On Monday, July 13, BIG volunteers loaded a shipment for Samaritan Strategy Africa in Kenya. BIG contributed 16 pallets of books (approximately 25,000 books), primarily in the children’s/school, nonfiction, and college categories. A family from New York brought nineteen boxes of school supplies that included books, notebooks, pencils and
On Monday, July 13, BIG volunteers loaded a shipment for Samaritan Strategy Africa in Kenya. BIG contributed 16 pallets of books (approximately 25,000 books), primarily in the children’s/school, nonfiction, and college categories. A family from New York brought nineteen boxes of school supplies that included books, notebooks, pencils and pens, erasers, staplers, and school bags, among other things, and helped load these into the Kenya shipping container. The family also made a cash donation to help cover shipping costs.
The shipment is anticipated to arrive at port in Mombasa in the third week of September.
